The Lubbock Women’s Club Historical Foundation and The Ernestine Payne Welborn Endowment Community Speaker Series will
welcome Jenna Hager as a speaker for the Annual Speaker Series. Hager will speak on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at The Lubbock Women’s Club, 2020 Broadway St., Lubbock, Texas. Tickets are available to the public as a community education project of The Lubbock Women’s Club. Tickets are $60 per person and reservations may be made by calling (806) 763-6448.
Jenna Hager is a contributing correspondent on NBC’s Today show and an editor-at-large for Southern Living magazine. She is the author of The New York Times bestseller Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope, which she wrote after traveling to Latin America in 2006 as an intern with UNICEF. Ana’s Story is based on the life of a 17-year-old single mother with HIV, who struggles to shield her child from the life she had of abuse and neglect. Ana’s Story will be the focus of Hager’s speech to The Lubbock Women’s Club.
Hager remains involved with UNICEF and is currently the chair of its Next Generation initiative, which is dedicated to reducing childhood deaths around the world. Hager is the daughter of former U.S. President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.
