LPD Release Information on United Market Street Robbery

More details on the February 8 robbery of a United Market Street was released by the Lubbock Police Department on Wednesday.
LUBBOCK, TX (PRESS RELEASE) -- On February 8, 2014 at 7:30 pm the suspect entered 4425 19th Street, United Market Street and filled a store hand basket with several items. The suspect exited the store without paying for the items, throwing the basket and contents into his vehicle as he entered and attempted to close the door. An asset protection employee grabbed the suspect attempting to stop him from leaving but was caught in the car door when the suspect put the vehicle in reverse and accelerated. The vehicle went several feet before the employee was able to dislodge and fall from the moving vehicle. The suspect continued to flee from the store in the vehicle.

The suspect is a white or Hispanic male. Approximately 30 years of age, 5’10‐ 6’00 and weighs approximately 175 ‐ 210 lbs. The suspect has a neatly trimmed beard, a tattoo on the right side of his neck and was wearing a green baseball cap, grey shirt, dark jacket, dark pants, and brown boots.

The suspect was driving a maroon 2 door passenger car with after‐market chrome wheels.
