LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock Police on Wednesday released video of a chase on Sunday night.  According to a police report, an officer tried to stop Roger Rosanda Reyes, 38, just before midnight in the 1000 block of Avenue Q. Drive.

The police report said Reyes “was operating a motor vehicle at a high rate of speed.  [Reyes] evaded arrest by vehicle and was eventually taken into custody.”

The chase went through some neighborhoods and ended very close to where it began, specifically in the 1100 block of Avenue U.  Reyes drove his 1994 Cadillac Deville through a dip in the road and it could go no further.  Police arrested Reyes for “evading arrest or detention.”   While the police report does not specifically say why Reyes tried to get away, it does say he wanted for a misdemeanor warrant.

Reyes bonded out of jail on Monday.
