LUBBOCK, TX -- The Lubbock County Sheriffs Office spent two days conducting a Sex Offender Compliance Check.
58 of the 126 sex offenders registered in Lubbock County were randomly chosen to have an officer visit their residence to confirm they still live there.
Officers made contact with 53 of the offenders and made 3 arrests.
Officers left door tags at the 5 residences where no one was home and the sex offender must contact the sheriffs office.
The Lubbock County Sheriffs Office tries to perform compliance checks every quarter and every registered offender will get at least one check a year.
