LUBBOCK,TX- Adolf Peters took his story from Lubbock, Texas all the way to New York City Monday, where he appeared on 'FOX & Friends.'
"They had me on the show, we actually did two segments," Peters said Monday by phone from New York. "We did one during the show and then they have an after show. They had me handing out money in both segments."The morning cable show caught wind of Peters unusual good deed, where he spent his 38th birthday passing out money to strangers on the corner of the South Loop and University.
Peters held up a sign saying "I have a job, and a car and a home. Do you need a few bucks for coffee?'
For several hours, Peters approached cars at the stop lights, handing them cash through the window.
Some people did not take the money, some did, and some gave him money to continue his good deed.
The story got more than 175,000 views on everythinglubbock.com and Peters phone started ringing off the hook.
He appeared on several local radio shows last Thursday morning and then he got the call from NYC.
"I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from everyone and it's folks not just from Lubbock, they are from all over," Peters said.
He also told us that he got to meet country superstars Rascal Flatts, which he called 'pretty awesome.'
