LUBBOCK, TX -- The woman shown in a viral video for her safety presentation on a Southwest Airlines flight is from Lubbock. Martha “Marty” Cobb is a graduate of Monterey High School and Texas Tech University.

Cobb now lives in Dallas and works as a flight attendant. She was featured Tuesday by Good Morning America, Inside Edition and other national media.

What would otherwise be a mundane safety briefing that any seasoned airline passenger has seen way too many times was instead a very entertaining three minutes.

Ordinarily a flight attendant begins the safety briefing with the words, “If I may have your attention.”

Cobb started with, “If I may pretend to have your attention.”

She also said, “Position your seat belt tight across your hips just like my grandmother wears her support bra.”  The routine went on from there.

Cobb lists her job on Facebook as “Sky Goddess at Southwest Airlines.” The video was posted April 12 and has been seen more than 2.6 million times on Youtube as of early Tuesday evening.
