Lubbock Police to Auction 82 Vehicles on Saturday

A police statement said, “There is no guarantee for any vehicle, and they are sold as is. They must be paid for in cash.”
LUBBOCK, TX -- The Lubbock Police Department will hold a vehicle auction on June 14 at Lubbock Wrecker Service - 3209 Slaton Highway. The gates open at 9:00 am, and the sale begins at 10:00 am. Prospective bidders must register with a picture ID and provide a current address.

A police statement said, “There is no guarantee for any vehicle, and they are sold as is. They must be paid for in cash.”

“Each bidder can have one guest for anyone not wanting to bid or register,” the statement said.

Vehicles must be removed by 6:00 pm after the sale. Dealers and the public are welcome. In previous auctions buyers were required to use tow dollies, trailers or properly-licensed wreckers. Buyers have also been allowed to drive a car or truck if it was in good working condition. However, in previous auctions, dragging the vehicles with ropes or chains has not been allowed.
