Lubbock Women Share Experiences with Synthetic Marijuana

Two recovering synthetic marijuana addicts hope to stop others from trying the drug

LUBBOCK, TX -- Synthetic pot overdoses are still very common in Lubbock with multiple people sent to the emergency room daily.

The City has banned the sale of Synthetic Marijuana but it can still be found with labels "not for human consumption".

Two local women are recovering from synthetic marijuana addiction, one in recovery for almost three years and another only 6 months sober.

Both women feared they would die if they did not stop taking the drugs and Monica Wright was hospitalized three times because of synthetic pot.

Both women quit the drug on their own but if you need help there are rehabilitation centers in Lubbock.
