Many Plainview Residents Against Changing Access Roads

The Department of Transportation has big plans for I-27 in Plainview and citizens sounded off on the possible changes at a public hearing Monday.<br> KLBK's Carly Figueroa reports.
Texas Department of Transportation hosted the public meeting to discuss converting certain I-27 access roads, which are now two-way lanes, into one-way streets.
Many saying, they're against the planned construction project that would change the flow of traffic in and out of Plainview.
TX-DOT engineers say those changes will increase safety and mobility, but those opposed, say the project's cost far outweighs it's benefits.

The project would cost $17 million, $14.6 of which is covered by a transportation safety fund set up through tax money already set aside.
