Meth Seized in Nolan County Drug Bust Linked to Lubbock

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) conducted a traffic stop Wednesday on US 84, yielding almost one pound of methamphetamine valued at $36,000.

LUBBOCK – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) conducted a traffic stop Wednesday on US 84, yielding almost one pound of methamphetamine valued at $36,000.  Troopers also discovered a small amount of cocaine inside the vehicle. 

 

At approximately 3:15 p.m., a DPS trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on US 84, for a traffic violation, near Roscoe in Nolan County. During the traffic stop, a DPS canine unit was called and searched the vehicle.  During the search, 16 packages of methamphetamine and two packages of cocaine were discovered. 

 

The driver is connected to an ongoing investigation being conducted by the DPS Criminal Investigations Division in Lubbock.  The illegal drugs were allegedly being transported from Lubbock to Abilene
