Monterey Girls Beat Plainview to Force 3-Way Tie in 4-4A

The Monterey Lady Plainsmen completed a 2nd half tear in district 4-4A winning their fifth in a row over Plainview to clinch a share of the 4-4A title.

A Plainview victory though would mean an outright title for the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Plainmen answered back as Courtney Lawley drained one from downtown to extend Monterey’s lead 30-26.

In the fourth, the Lady Bulldogs tried to make it a game, when Wheeler used the drop step and would connect, to bring the game within four, at 39-35 Monterey.

But Courtney Lawley added to that lead with a friendly roll that would put the game out of reach.

As the Lady Plainsmen Clinch a share of the 4-4A title with the 58-50 Victory.
