Police say there were two crashes. It was the second collision that killed a woman.
LUBBOCK, TX -- Police identified the woman killed in a Sunday night traffic accident as Alyssa Dennis, 27, of Lubbock. Police say Dennis’ passenger car collided with an SUV on West Loop 289 near Marsha Sharp Freeway. Her car flipped in that crash. As she was getting out a pickup truck hit her car and the second collision killed her according to police.
It was originally called in as a hit & run; however, police believe neither of the two other drivers left the scene. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in either crash, and no arrests are expected.
The cause of the first crash is still under investigation.
