Texas Tech Head Coach Tim Siegel and the men's tennis team were in action today over at the McLeod Tennis Center hosting the 10th ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs, before welcoming rice in on Sunday.

The men trying to rebound from a loss to UCLA last weekend and starting out strong as the doubles team of Felipe Suarez and Johann Willems clinched the doubles point with the 6-5 win.

Suarez was off to a fast start in singles play as well taking the first set, 6-3, but would go on to lose in three.

Tech did jump out in front 3-1, but the Bulldogs battled back to tie it up at three matches a piece.

Tech's Hugo Dojas forced a third set in the decisive match but fell in a third set tiebreak.

Mississippi State came back to win, 4-3.
