LUBBOCK, TX -- Roosevelt ISD provides transportation to and from summer school but parents say they are making the bus stop at a dangerous location.
Edie Beltran called KAMC News to say the bus was stopping on the side of the Idalou Highway and the kids had to walk across two lanes of traffic to get to their neighborhood.
Sam Aguilar's son also rides the bus and he says the bus driver puts his stop lights on very quickly and doesn't give the cars on the highway enough time to stop for the kids.
Jimmy Parker, Roosevelt ISD Superintendent, told KAMC that the Department of Public Safety approved the bus stop but they are looking into the parents concerns.
KAMC was there for the afternoon drop off today and the bus stopped on what Beltran said was the opposite side of their usual stop.
The kids did not have to walk across traffic today.
