Police Called to Deadly Motorcycle Crash Sunday Morning

Lubbock Police were called to the scene of a deadly crash Sunday morning at the intersection of 82nd Street and University Avenue. <span style="color: #ff0000">UPDATED</span>
LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock Police were called to the scene of a deadly crash Sunday morning at the intersection of 82nd Street and University Avenue.  

Police said Leigh Ann Barnes, 34, was westbound at the intersection and turning left in her passenger car.  Police said she turned in front of a motorcycle going east.  Police said the motorcycle driven by Billy Dan Parker, 69, hit Barnes’ car on the front right. 

Parker was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition and pronounced dead at the hospital.  His passenger, Brenda Cox, 63, suffered life threatening injuries. She was taken to UMC in critical condition, and on Sunday evening officials confirmed that she died form her injuries.  

An official summary from police did not say if police issued any citations.  Barnes suffered minor injuries according to police.
