Police Stop on Suspicious Vehicle Leads to Stolen Property

Police seized 4 truckloads of stolen merchandise and have so far linked most of the stolen property to 5 burglaries.
LUBBOCK, TX -- On September 1, 2014 at about 3:30 p.m. officers from the LPD Burglary Suppression Unit attempted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle. The occupant fled on foot and officers located him inside a home. Once inside the residence, officers located a large quantity of what appeared to be stolen property including an ATV in the backyard.

Police seized 4 truckloads of stolen merchandise and have so far linked most of the stolen property to 5 burglaries. Detectives are still trying to match up the remaining property and anticipate several burglary charges to be filed. The suspect was arrested later that evening on unrelated charges.
