Texas Tech Grad students Ellie Shultz and Taylor Fields need your help helping others.
Tech is one of only 6 universities in the nation chosen to collect denim for Cotton Incorporated.
"The basis of their program is they kind of reach out to whoever will bring in the most denim, and obviously Lubbock is cotton capitol of the world," said Fields.
Cotton Incorporated has a goal this year to collect 1 million pieces of denim from across the country.
Then, to turn all that blue into help for a good cause.
"It's turned into insulation for houses and then that goes towards other community service projects like Habitat for Humanity," said Fields.
And you can help by donating any of your hand-me-down denim.
"Anything from shorts, shirts, pants, studded, bedazzled, painted, white-washed," said Fields. "Any kind of denim. We'll take anything."
Even scraps are accepted.
Whatever you give, the girls will most certainly appreciate it.
"I always think that it's a really big blessing to be able to give back," said Fields.
