LUBBOCK, Texas - For the first time in school history, the Texas Tech Red Raiders will be heading to Omaha and the College World Series.

Backed by five shutout innings from starter Dylan Dusek and two perfect frames from Jonny Drozd out of the bullpen, the Red Raiders topped College of Charleston, 1-0, Sunday afternoon en route to advancing to the pinnacle event in collegiate baseball, the College World Series held in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Red Raiders (45-19) picked up a 1-0 victory for the second-straight day in front of a capacity crowd at Rip Griffin Park at Dan Law Field. Tech did so while tossing its third-consecutive shutout and its fourth in the past five games - all of which that have come in NCAA play.

"Right now I don't know if it's really sunk in," said Tech head coach Tim Tadlock, who will take the Red Raiders to the College World Series in just his second season. "I'm sure when I get home this evening I'm sure it will hit me. I just really appreciate these guys. I mean, they're a special group."
