Saddle Up to Feel Better

We head over to the stables of Texas Tech's Therapeutic Riding Center and check out the horses trained for therapy.
What a wonderful way to approach treatment!

The Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center is proud to call the Texas Tech Equestrian Center home.

At TTRC, people of all ages, of different backgrounds and no matter the reasons, are invited to try two new therapy techniques that you'll find listed below.

Be prepared to feel relaxed, while improving in strength, balance, coordination and more!

The two types of therapy used at TTRC include: Hippotherapy, (a term which refers to the use of the movement of a horse as a treatment modality by trained physical, occupational, and speech therapist); and Therapeutic riding (uses equine-assisted activities for the purpose of contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being of people with disabilities).

For more information about the program, call Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center at 806-792-4683.
