Several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for Lubbock County Saturday

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Lubbock County until 1:15 am. <span style="color: #ff0000;">UPDATED</span>

LUBBOCK, TX -- The National Weather Service issued a series of severe thunderstorm warnings Lubbock County - the first of which expired at 11:45 pm Saturday.

Reports of large hail, frequent lightning and high winds were reported. There have been reports of flooding in some low-lying areas of Levelland and Lubbock.   Across the South Plains the storm complex dropped hail as big as baseballs. Power outages and downed trees were reported in Lubbock and towns to the northwest of Lubbock. 

At least three tornado warnings were issued Saturday evening for Lamb County.

Flooding was reported along portions of Slide Road just before midnight. There were at least six areas of power outages in the city.  A wind gust of more than 90 miles per hour was reported south of Wolfforth.
