South Plains Honor Flight Takes Veterans to Washington D.C.

Over 140 veterans and their guardians are on their way to the Nations capital to visit memorials from their service in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam

The South Plains honor flight is taking more than 140 veterans and their guardians to Washington D.C to see memorials dedicated to their service in World War 2, the Korean war, and the Vietnam War.

The three day tour is paid for with donations from South Plains residents and businesses.

They were sent off with honor guards and members of Texas Tech's Goin' Band from Raiderland.

The honor flight group is scheduled to get back Friday October 18th at 9:30pm.
