LUBBOCK, TX -- Parts of Wolfforth and Southwestern Lubbock County appeared to have been hit the hardest by Saturday night's storm, with downed power lines and roofs blown off some structures.
At least one mobile home off FM 1585, west of 179 was completely destroyed. Neighbors say one man, the trailer's occupant, knocked on the door during the storm seeking shelter. That man was transported to the hospital with a broken leg.
Sunday afternoon crews worked to repair the power lines down along FM 1585. Many homeowners in that area have also reported damaging flooding. Along Woodrow Road, one property owner reported a metal barn that blew apart and into their yard from 150 yards away.
Severe thunderstorms bringing hail and strong winds are expected to hit again, late Sunday night.
