LUBBOCK, TX -- Parvo is a virus that affects dogs causing vomiting and diarrhea that leads to severe dehydration.

Parvo is spread through the feces and vomit of infected dogs and humans can carry the virus to their dog.

The best way to prevent Parvo is to vaccinate your dog while they are puppies and continue follow up shots each year.

If left untreated Parvo can kill dogs so take your dog to the vet at the first warning signs of vomiting and diarrhea.
