SUNDOWN, TX -- The small town of Sundown has called for a special election to authorize the sale of alcohol according to the Levelland and Hockley County News Press. The election will be May 10 for the sale of alcohol to be consumed off-premise only. The proposal would not allow for the sale of alcohol in bars or restaurants.

Sundown voters rejected the same proposal in November 2010. Felice Carter organized the signature drive in both 2010 and this year. She told the News Press, “I have a good feeling this time.”
