Tadlock's Red Raiders Host Oklahoma

Ryan Moseley starts Friday's opener against the Sooners.
No. 21 Texas Tech (32-13, 8-7 Big 12) returns home this weekend hosting Oklahoma (25-17, 5-7 Big 12) for a three-game series at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. It’s fourth-place vs. fifth-place in the league standings as both teams are coming into the series with two straight losses.
The Red Raiders look for their third straight series win - after sweeping two in a row - and also their third series win in Big 12 play while looking to win their first series over the Sooner since 2010.
Tech is 10-4 during the month of April and 25-4 at home this season - its most wins at home since 2004. Tech has won eight of its last 10 and 15 of its last 21 games dating back to March 22.
Last weekend Tech took a break from Big 12 play while sweeping a three-game series from Prairie View A&M.
The Red Raiders have dropped a pair of midweek games this week at No. 24 New Mexico (4-3) and against No. 15 TCU (4-0) in a game played in Abilene. Oklahoma has lost back-to-back Big 12 series - both at home - against Texas (swept) and West Virginia (dropped 2-of-3).
The Sooners are 4-3 on the road and 7-5 in games away from its home field while having lost seven of their last nine games since Apr. 8.
