Tech Wins Super Regional, Beats Charleston

After a rain delay and a 3:30 pm start time, Texas Tech beat the College of Charleston in the second game of the Super Regional held in Lubbock.
LUBBOCK, TX -- After a rain delay and a 3:30 pm start time, Texas Tech beat the College of Charleston in the second game of the Super Regional held in Lubbock. The final score was 1 – 0 with tech scoring in the 4th inning on an Adam Kirsch RBI double to right field. Tyler Neslony scored from first on Kirsch’s double. Neslony had reached base on a single.

It would prove to be the only run of the game. Tech stranded runners several times. Charleston had a good chance in the bottom of the 6th with two runners on base and no outs. Both were stranded.

In in the bottom of 7th, Charleston again had a man in scoring position when Devon Conley made a highlight-reel catch in right-center field to save the lead.

Attendance at Dan Law Field was 4,811. Tech advances to Omaha in the NCAA post season play.
