LUBBOCK,TX -- Ronald McDonald House Charities hosted a luncheon Tuesday to thank and honor the Tech football coaches and contributing sponsors of the quarterback SACK fundraising promotion and awareness campaign.

SACK stands for support and comfort kids. This promotion allows Texas Tech's loyal fans to participate by pledging dollar amounts for each time the Red Raiders sack the opposing quarterback. The final pledges are donated to help the families of sick or injured children that Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest serves.

Ronald McDonald House Charities is a non-profit charity whose program serves over 13,000 people each year.

According to a written statement, “No family is ever turned away for inability to pay and families are allowed to stay with RMHC as long as it takes for their child to heal.”
