LUBBOCK, Texas - For the fifth consecutive week the Texas Tech baseball program has received a national ranking, and this week it comes from two national publications with a No. 25 ranking in the USA Today Coaches' poll and with a No. 29 ranking in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association poll.
The Red Raiders went 2-2 last week with a home midweek win over Abilene Christian and taking one of three games at Baylor while suffering a pair of one-run losses on the road in the first week of Big 12 play.
Tech lands in the USA Today Coaches' poll for the second straight week at No. 25. Last week the Red Raiders made their first appearance in the poll since 2005 with a No. 23 ranking.
The Red Raiders were one of three Big 12 programs in this week's USA Today Coaches' poll, joining Texas (20th) and Oklahoma State (22nd).

Tech joined Big 12 foes Texas (19th), Oklahoma State (20th), TCU (24th) and Oklahoma (30th) in this week's NCBWA poll.Tech is back at home for a midweek series this week against Stephen F. Austin with a 6:30 p.m. first pitch on Tuesday, Mar. 18 and with a 2 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday, Mar. 19 at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
