Texas Tech Receives Votes in First Coaches Poll

Four Big 12 teams were ranked in the Amway Coaches Poll released on Wednesday.
Texas Tech was not ranked in the preseason Amway Coaches poll released on Wednesday but the Red Raiders are among the teams receiving votes.

Four Big 12 teams were ranked in the initial poll of the season.

Oklahoma and Baylor open up the season ranked No. 3 and No. 10, respectively.  The Sooners received three first place votes, only No. 1 Florida State had more than Oklahoma.

Kansas State checks in at No. 21 and Texas is No. 24.

Oklahoma State and TCU also received votes.
