Tobacco Use Treatment Integration Regional Training

ASAP's "Tobacco Use Treatment Integration" regional training will be held on June 27th from 8:30am to 4:30pm in Lubbock.
LUBBOCK, TX -- ASAP's "Tobacco Use Treatment Integration" regional training will be held in Lubbock on June 27th from 8:30am to 4:30pm at the Texas Department State Health Services building at 6302 Iola Avenue.

Based on best practice training presented by Dr. Jill Williams and Dr. Marc Steinberg of Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, clinicians from DSHS-funded treatment programs will present the day long training to support their treatment colleagues in understanding the scope of the problem of tobacco dependence among substance dependent clients and learn best practice strategies for assessment of tobacco dependence, treatment planning, pharmacology and counseling, and motivational interviewing to help people quit smoking.

This free training is provided with grant funds from the Smoking Cessation Leadership Center and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.
