(LUBBOCK, TX) - The battle to beat leukemia continues for one Levelland girl, but for a few days, she took a break and traded doctor's visits for Disney World.
5-year-old Alexia remembers a few things about her trip to Disney.
"Tinkerbell, Ariel and Belle," she said.
She also remembers the size of her hotel room.
"Me and my bubba had a big one and a big bathroom."
It was her family's first vacation, but it also doubled as a break from Alexia's battle.
"You hear about other people, but when it's someone so close to you and especially your own kid, it's just so heartbreaking," Alexia's mom, Monica Solis said.
In 2012, Alexia was diagnosed with leukemia and almost two years later, she's still undergoing treatment.
But Make-A-Wish made it all better.
"She wanted to meet Cinderella at Disney World," Monica Solis said. "Just the experience of it all was incredible. I don't know how to ever pay back. We're just so thankful and grateful for it."
