(LUBBOCK, TX) - A local businessman, known for his cars, is giving back.
"The Reagor Dykes Auto Group, when I started it in 2003, I had two goals in mind. One was to be the best place for people to do business and number two was to be the best place for people to work," Owner Bart Reagor said.
It was only a couple of years ago that Reagor got involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
He attended the non-profit's annual fundraising event, Waltzing for Wishes.
"The District Attorney, Matt Powell, who's a friend of mine, invited me to go and sit at his table."
But from the very beginning, Reagor said he was sold on the non-profit and its mission.
"Being there at that event that night and seeing that little girl who was the Make-A-Wish child- my heart just went out to her. I love kids. I have three children and I've been blessed to have three very healthy children," Reagor said.
Fast forward a few years and Reagor Dykes Auto Group is the title sponsor of this year's Waltzing for Wishes.
Reagor credits company CFO Shane Smith for the move.
Smith now sits on the non-profit's board.
"It's not just about making money and selling cars. It's about how can I be a person that someday, when I'm gone from Earth, that did some good things while we were here," Reagor said.
