LUBBOCK, TX -- A Levelland girl, whose wish to go to Hawaii was granted during Make-A-Wish's annual fundraising gala, recently returned from the Aloha State.
Taylor's trip to Hawaii was full of fun and she has pictures to prove it.
"That's me kissing a mama dolphin, that's me riding horses," Taylor showed us.
Extended stays in a Houston hospital have consumed Taylor's life since she was diagnosed with Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma.
"There was a lot of tears, I mean a lot of things that people don't see. Every time we would do anything, we would have to make sure and get her blood checked and then maybe she could do it and then maybe she couldn't, depending on if she was susceptible to illness," Taylor's mom, Katherine, explained.
But Taylor beat that cancer and to celebrate, Make-A-Wish turned those hospital stays into a pretty nice hotel stay.
"There was nothing we could have asked for more than what we got," Katherine said.
"It was really nice to have the whole family there and get to just enjoy each other. That's what I'd been missing most," Taylor's dad, Chad, added.
