Red Raider football kicked off their season, with Kliff Kingsbury and true freshman Baker Mayfield making their debuts in Dallas against the SMU Mustangs.
After leading 13-9 at the half, the Red Raiders scored four second-half touchdowns, including three in the 4th quarter.
And, the new-look defense was able to sack SMU's Gilbert five times, the most in one game since 2010.
The Red Raiders went on to win, 41-23.
But the story of the night was Lake Travis's Baker Mayfield.
