Dozens Attend Levelland City Council Meeting to Support Veteran Fire Chief

A packed city council meeting in Levelland tonight as dozens came out to support a longtime city employee fired earlier this month. KLBK's Michaela MacDonald has more.
More than 75 people went to the Levelland City Council meeting Monday night. The hot topic--- the firing of veteran Fire Chief Otis Stark.

Stark worked at the Levelland Fire Department for about 31 years. He was fired earlier this month for reportedly breaking city procedure relating to a donation to the volunteer fire department.

In Monday's meeting, the city council reversed their decision and will reportedly be speaking with Stark Tuesday about reinstatement.

Multiple firefighters at the meeting spoke out on Stark's behalf.

Many citizens at the meeting called for a full review of the city's donation policy.
