Fire Marshal Investigating Suspicious House Fire

The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office put out a call to the public Monday morning for information related to a Sunday morning house fire in the Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood.
LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office put out a call to the public Monday morning for information related to a Sunday morning house fire in the Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood. 

Before sunrise a vacant home was on fire in the 2100 block of 24th Street.  The fire spread to another vacant home and one occupied home. No injuries were reported.  The second two homes were extensively damaged. 

The FMO said in a written statement, “Utilities were shut off to the residence at [the] time of fire.”
 
The FMO also said, the “residence was undergoing a remodel.”

An investigation is underway and the FMO has asked anyone with information to call 775-2646, or Crime Line at 741-1000.  Callers to Crime Line can remain anonymous.
