Earlier today, Texas Tech football held their first scrimmage of the fall.

Unfortunately, media did not have permission to attend.

But, head coach Kliff Kingsbury told us yesterday that the scrimmage would be very similar to the one held in the spring, with plenty of special team action and keeping the quarterbacks protected.

He also wanted to prepare the guys for competition and work in plenty of reps for the starters.

Other goals he set for the offense included protection of the football and reducing penalties.

Again, though we weren't able to be there today, we will keep you updated on the next practice open to us.
