The Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center (GAC), located at 4215 University Avenue, currently has limited booth space available for talented artists and craftspeople to participate in the 43rd Annual Fall Arts and Crafts Festival, a one-day event to be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Booth rentals for vendors have been ongoing and will continue to be available on a first-come, first-serve basis until spaces are sold out. The cost for a basic 5’x 7’ outdoor booth, constructed of scaffolding and covered with tarps is $60. End booths which extend 3’ to the side are $80. 10 X 10 tent spaces are also available for $85. Tent vendors must provide their own tent. Booth rental agreements may be picked- up at the Garden and Arts Center Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Fall Festival is a family-oriented event that includes more than 85 vendors selling handmade craft items and fine art. This will be the second year for Antiques Alley, featuring collectables, vintage clothing and more. The event features live entertainment, art demonstrations, concession booths and Art Alley, a special place for kids to participate in arts & crafts, face painting, and fun galore! This event has traditionally attracted 8,000 - 10,000 visitors annually.
The Lubbock Municipal Garden and Arts Center strives to offer an array of fun and comprehensive classes and events for all ages, from basic classes in painting, drawing and photography, to specialized classes such as stained glass, pop art, jewelry-making, cake decorating, furniture finishing and fashion.
