Dejanaira Simmons, 17, was diagnosed with cancer after she began having severe pain in her leg almost one year ago.

She now walks with the help of crutches after having surgery to replace her knee and part of her thigh bone.

Dejanaira's wish wasn't much different from most girls her age.

She wished to go on a shopping spree and it was granted one Saturday in July.

Check out where Dejanaira spent her shopping day by clicking "play" on the video box.

It costs on average $7,000 to grant a wish like Dejanaira's wish.

If you'd like to donate, and remember all the money stays right here on the South Plains, contact Make-A-Wish at 785-9474 or visit www.facebook.com/wishlubbock.
