Anabel doesn't live in Lubbock, but lately she spends more time here than anywhere else.

We met the seventh grader and her parents at University Medical Center, right before she was scheduled to receive her weekly chemo treatment.

In January, Anabel was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, already in an advanced stage.

While at UMC, a Child Life Specialist told her about the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The organization granted her wish, but not after a few hiccups along the way.

To see Anabel's wish story, click "play" on the video box.

It costs on average, $7,000 to grant a wish like Anabel's wish.

If you'd like to donate, and remember all the money stays right here on the South Plains, contact Make-A-Wish at 785-9474 or visit www.facebook.com/wishlubbock.
