He's come a long way from playing quarterback at Texas Tech in 1998-2002 and going pro to gaining experience as a quarterback's coach and offensive coordinator in Houston and College Station.

Now, he's got the head coach title and he's barely aged a bit.

He's the youngest head coach of a team in an AQ conference and the second youngest head coach in college football, only behind Matt Campbell of Toledo.

As a young gun, he has a few words to share about the young-ins on his own team.
