The Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees and administration, and others broke ground for the new Jayne Ann Miller Elementary Wednesday.
Lubbock Independent School District continued its expansion plans Wednesday afternoon with the ground-breaking of the Jane Ann Miller Elementary School.
The new school is expected to open for the Miller's Owls in December of 2014.
All of LISD board of trustees and administration officals were on hand for the ceremony.
The new school will have Pre-K through 5th grade from the consolidated Haynes and Murfee districts.
It's the second funded school from the 2010 bond election.
