LP&L Statement On Power Loss

The temporary loss of power due to weather conditions resulted in approximately 115 reported outages from customers.
LUBBOCK, TX (PRESS RELEASE) -- A portion of the LP&L service territory covering West Central Lubbock experienced a weather related outage at approximately 1 PM Sunday afternoon. A substation feeding electricity from Xcel Energy lines to LP&L customers in the relative location of West Central Loop 289 was down for slightly over one hour as crews worked to re-energize the station. LP&L crews have now successfully re-energized the station and all customers experiencing outages should be up and running. The temporary loss of power due to weather conditions resulted in approximately 115 reported outages from customers.

"LP&L and city officials ask that all residents of Lubbock exercise caution given the current icy conditions. Any LP&L customers who remain without power at this time are advised to contact LP&L at (806) 775-2555. LP&L crews are standing by to restore any outages that may result from the winter storm.
