LUBBOCK, TX -- The same school bus driver who had a minor accident in November lost consciousness Tuesday morning leading to another accident. The bus struck a parked car in someone’s front yard with students on board near Coronado High.

“The bus driver that blacked out this morning [Tuesday] was cleared to drive by a physician as recently as December,” said a Lubbock ISD spokesperson. “He has been removed from driving responsibilities.”

Students from Matthews Alternative High School were checked out by a nurse at Coronado just to make sure there were no injuries. Property damage was described as minor.

There were also no injuries on November 18 when the same driver collided with a pickup truck near Stewart Elementary while students were aboard.
