LUBBOCK, TX -- The Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office declared a Sunday-morning fire as arson.  A passer-by called in at 4:05 AM to report smoke from the back of First Class Tuxedos, 6520 University Avenue.

A specific dollar estimate of the damage has not yet been determined.  Fire damage was mostly confined to the inventory of First Class Tuxedos.  However, the entire shopping center at that address suffered smoke damage according to Robert Loveless with the FMO.

Arson can be a first-degree felony if the dollar loss is more than $200,000.
