After 15 years as Lubbock County Judge Tom Head says he's not done yet.
Friday afternoon at the Lubbock County Court House in the Commissioner's Courtroom Judge Head announced his candidacy for re-election.
Head's administration is marked by relatively low taxes and a very low county debt load.
However, he has made some controversial comments that got him a lot of national attention.
In August of 2012 Head spoke of President Obama, saying, "He is going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the U.N."
Head was first elected back in 1998.
