LUBBOCK, TX -- Nicholas Lee Blair, 31, of Lubbock admits he produced child pornography of an underage girl.

The specific age of the victim is not listed in federal court records. Blair admits that in December 2012 he took video of her in a bathroom.

Almost a year later – in October of this year, police were called to the 6400 block of 35th for the report of a sexual assault. Blair was taken to the Lubbock Police Department for questioning where he was then arrested.

Police confiscated Blair’s iPhone and a computer. They turned over to federal prosecutors the iPhone movie files depicting the genitals of the underage girl.

A federal pornography charge was filed, and state charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child were also filed. Blair pleaded not guilty to the state charges in mid-October.

Blair pleaded guilty on the federal charge Monday. He will be sentenced at a later date to no less than 15 years and no more than 30 years in federal prison. The state charges are still pending and Blair remains locked up in the Lubbock County Jail.
