LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock needs a water distribution computer model and a master plan. The City has invited companies to submit their qualifications for the project.
Public records say, “The current water supply and infrastructure are not expected to keep pace with the future growth without timely maintenance, conservation measures, and increased efficiency.”
The computer model must allow city staff to figure out how to take parts of the system offline for repair or replacement without disrupting people’s water supply. The master plan must give priority to what parts of the system need to be done first and which parts can wait.
Companies that might want to do the work have until December 6 to submit their qualifications.
