Lubbock Officer Assaulted Overnight, Suspect Hospitalized

A man faces possible criminal charges after assaulting a police officer early Thursday morning at a North Lubbock apartment complex.
Lubbock police responded to a disturbance call at Raider Pass Apartments at 2:50 Thursday morning.
Police arrived to find a man acting aggressive towards his roommate and talking to imaginary people.
Police say the man assaulted an officer then ran to a bathroom.
Police say the man then crashed through the bathroom wall into a bedroom to get away from the officers.
Police say he then jumped head-first through a third story bedroom window.
Police chase the subject across the parking lot to a pond where the man waded in chest deep before being taken into custody.
The man was admitted to UMC for possible injuries.
He faces possible criminal charges upon release.
Police did not release a name.
