LUBBOCK, TX -- Lubbock police are searching for suspects in three robberies that occurred this weekend. Two overnight and one Saturday evening.
Police responded to a robbery at the Red Roof Inn just after midnight. They say a victim was approached by a black male roughly 6 feet tall, 140 pounds who indicated he had a weapon and demanded money.
Then just an hour later police responded to a robbery at a 7-11 on the 2900 block of 4th street. They say a black male 6''3, 210 pounds who also indicated he had a gun and demanded money.
This just the latest in a string of 7-11 robberies, there have been four in the past 6 weeks. Police were originally looking for two black male suspects. They are now also looking for 29 year old Jermain Dupree Gaither who they believe is responsible for the November 12th robbery at 7-11 on the 6100 block of 19th St.
And another convenience store robbery on Saturday night, this one at the Valero gas station on the 3300 block of Avenue Q. It happened just before 7:00 PM. Police say a 6 foot tall black man wearing a black hoodie, black sweatpants and white shoes robbed the store.
